Most crypto cards are issued by exchanges that hold your assets in their own custody and charge conversion or foreign exchange fees, typically between 0.2% and 2.5% per transaction. Bleap is different in four ways:
- Self-custody: your crypto stays in your own MPC wallet, not on an exchange. No single party, including Bleap, ever holds your complete key.
- No fees: adding money, converting, and spending are free, with no markup on exchange rates and no foreign exchange fees.
- Regulation: Bleap operates under its own MiCA CASP license (No. 27-55/2026/14, Latvijas Banka), verifiable in public registers.
You can add money to Bleap by bank transfer or by sending crypto from any external wallet. There are no fees for adding, spending, or converting money.
- Bank transfer in euros or dollars: Euros are held as EURe and dollars as USDC, the digital version of each currency, always at a 1:1 rate. €100 sent is always €100 in your account, and $100 sent is always $100.
- Bank transfer in other currencies, like Mexican pesos: your money is converted automatically to digital dollars (USDC) at the market exchange rate. Bleap charges nothing for the conversion; the rate simply follows the market.
- From a crypto wallet: send any token available on Solana, Base, or Arbitrum, then convert it to euros or dollars in one tap, in seconds, with no fees.
The Bleap card offers up to 20% cashback depending on the spending category, with the following rates:
- 20% on streaming, gaming, and AI subscriptions
- 3% on rides and food delivery
- 2% at restaurants and supermarkets
